How it works

Open the box.
Make the thing.

No pattern-hunting, no wrong yarn, no half-finished shame pile. Everything's in one box and the whole thing is designed to be done in an afternoon.

01

Pick it

Pick your yarn and an embroidered patch. The box makes a bag or a basket, your call.

02

Make it

Chunky yarn and a big hook mean fast, visible progress. Follow the printed steps or the video.

03

Use it

Same day. Then tell everyone you made it — because you did.

The videos

Every kit comes with a QR code that opens a step-by-step video. Watch a stitch, pause, copy it, carry on. No accounts, no app — it plays straight in your phone browser, positioned like you're watching over a friend's shoulder.

Questions

I've genuinely never crocheted. Can I do this?+

Yes — that's who it's for. You learn about three stitches, the yarn is thick and easy to see, and the patterns forgive mistakes.

How long does it take?+

Most people finish a bag or basket in an afternoon. Chunky yarn covers ground fast.

What if I mess it up?+

Big stitches pull out cleanly, so you can undo and redo. Nothing is wasted.

Is everything really included?+

Yarn, hook, needle, your extras, printed guide and video access. You add nothing.

About

For people who start
things. And want to
finish one.

Do It Yarnself is a small UK studio making crochet kits for people who like the idea of making something by hand but don't have three weeks and a wall of yarn to give it.

So we stripped it back. One box. Two designs. Chunky T-shirt yarn that grows fast under your hook, a short list of stitches, and a video that treats you like a total beginner — because most of us are.

The bit we care about most is the end: that moment you hold up a thing you made and someone asks where you bought it. Yes, you actually made that.

Two people can buy the same box and walk away with objects that look nothing alike. That's the whole point. Make it yourself. Then make it yourself.
